I used to run as my primary form of exercise, and then about 2 years ago one day I overexerted myself on a run and injured my hip. I starting seeing a physical therapist, and realized it was not going to be an immediate return to running if I wanted to heal properly. My physical therapist suggested strength training as an alternative, and I sought out the classes at the Fitness Lab. I was thrilled to be able to have great workouts in lieu of running, and when needed the classes offered modifications that were safe for my injury. I worked up to being able to run again, and was excited to find that the Fitness Lab classes were aiding in my recovery. I am now back to running, and have kept going to the Fitness Lab because I find having the full body workouts, strength training, and proper stretching keeps me overall better balanced than just running – and the classes are fun!
