ROCKSTAR OF THE MONTH
SEPTEMBER 2015
“The Fitness Lab really is a community, you really do care, and I feel like it is my place.”
Q&A with Bruce
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
My work. Is that a fair answer? I am fortunate to have had my natural direction of design evolve into a profession. Art. I have a resident studio that is both my professional space and art studio. I move back and forth between design and art. I am not sure where the transition point lies. Sailing, time on the water. Exploring this city.
Where is your favorite place to eat?
Home is probably my favorite, simple dishes. Going to an area and allow ourselves to discover. Right now Ballard seems to have our interest.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
I was exercising daily with my own structure, Kristin was working within the Fitness Lab structure and getting better results. Seemed that Fitness Lab would be a better choice.
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
Clarity, movement and energy. My workout is becoming the center around which everything revolves, I think with more clarity. my movement is relaxed and flexible. My energy continues until late in the evening.
What is a quote that you live by?
I have two quotes posted in my studio. I have never thought of them as quotes to live by, but, as I consider this question, they do seem to evoke a basic philosophy.
“Sit quietly, when the scenery shifts, slip between it.” – John Cage
“When I haven’t any blue I use red.” – Pablo Picasso
