Q&A with Geir
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
Hiking and camping, cooking at home, hanging out with my family.
Where is your favorite place to eat?
Thai food at Pestle Rock. I also love poppy bagels with cream cheese and lox at Eltana.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
More than five years ago. I worked out at the old gym on Stone Way for a while before Dillon moved to Ballard.
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
My doc said that I should lower my blood pressure. The best way to do that was to change my diet and to exercise more. I have been eating healthier, and work out at the Fitness Lab once a week, plus other exercise that I can fit in. Within a couple years, my blood pressure went down and I began feeling healthier. Since then, I have gradually lost about 20 lbs and gotten stronger.
What is a quote that you live by?
I “take one day at a time” and try to be kind to myself and others.
