Q/A with Angie
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
Day hiking with the hubby. Working in my yard – I am trying to learn how to be one of those urban farmer people. I still have a long way to go. As for inside activities, I have about every art supply a person can have, but never actually get around to making anything. I’ll get there.
My favorite place to eat:
Thai Siam and India Bistro are on heavy rotation, but the favorite right now is Cafe Munir.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
It has been almost 2 years now. I turned 40 and wasn’t ready to look or feel 40. I remember being out of breath climbing the stairs in my own house and thinking, “Well that is new. I had better do something about that.”
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
I can do pushups!! Like REAL ones. Not always very many, but I can do them! AND thanks to the Mon & Wed night team, for pushing me to be better, faster, stronger!
What is a quote that you live by?
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

To see the gains in strength (I just watched a woman who used to struggle with knee push-ups rip off 20 standard push-ups) and confidence that come with fitness is truly inspiring.
