“The Fitness Lab has completely changed my outlook on exercise. I was never a person who liked working out – I hated to sweat. I’ve tried things here and there, but always got tired of it and never really enjoyed anything. The Fitness Lab has been the first place I’ve actually wanted to go. The workouts are challenging and interesting, and I never get bored. The community is the absolute best – I love the people that I’ve met here. Honestly, ask anyone who knows me, and they can vouch for the fact that The Fitness Lab hasn’t just changed me physically, but has changed my entire perspective on fitness. I just love it!”
Q&A with Kerri
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
Some of my favorite things to do are seeing live music, traveling as far and as often as I can, spending quality cuddle time with my dog, Molly, and of course, eating and reviewing pizza!
Where is your favorite place to eat?
I have a LOT of favorites, so it’s hard to choose just one. My favorite pizza in Seattle is Queen Margherita in Magnolia. I also really love The Leary Traveler.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
I started with the 21 Day Challenge to get myself into better shape for a trip to Australia and New Zealand, and I’ve been hooked ever since!
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
I am definitely stronger and more toned. When I first started, my goal was really just to lose weight, but my goals have really evolved over time. I’m less focused on just “losing weight” and more about building muscle and getting stronger and healthier. I now have muscles in places I never had before, and I don’t think my arms have looked this good since I was 19!
What is a quote that you live by?
I know it’s played out, but honestly, I really do love “You Only Live Once.” I try to always keep that in the back of my mind, to make sure I’m always challenging myself and taking advantage of every opportunity I can.
