Q&A with Maureen
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
Take my dog Posie to Discovery Park, watch football and baseball (go Seahawks and Mariners!), spend time with my friends and husband, go hiking
Where is your favorite place to eat?
Tough question! I love Cafe Lago, Machiavelli, Tamarind Tree, and Pestle Rock.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
I signed up for the 21 Day Challenge back in January. I was looking to get back in shape after moving back to Seattle after living in Boston for five years. My friend Hilary found the Fitness Lab and suggested we give it a shot. I’m very glad we did!
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
It’s gotten me back to a regular fitness routine. I’ve also gotten leaner and stronger in a short time. Finally, the mental health benefits are pretty great.
What is a quote that you live by?
I wouldn’t say I have one particular quote, but here is one from the Dalai Lama that resonates with me: “We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”
