I love the instructors’ sense of humor and the support of the regulars. I miss them when I miss sessions. I get to the gym much more frequently than I did at previous gyms.
Q/A with Pam
Can you tell me 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
I love to get out in the local mountains to hike, scramble, snowshoe, and climb. I also love hanging out with my 14 year old daughter.
Where is your favorite place to eat?
My favorite local food is shrimp sandwiches at Un Bien, but I also love the lettuce wrap burger and salad bar at Giddy Up Burgers.
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
I started at Fitness lab in June 2017 to complement my mountaineering with some regular strength training. I love the feeling of strength and accomplishment that comes with attending regular classes. I feel much stronger in general and confident that I can keep my body healthy as my 50’s start!
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
I’ve gotten stronger, dropped in clothing size, seen huge improvements in my stamina and conditioning, and gained lots of confidence in what I can do physically. But, I think the most important thing I’ve learned is that I need to set this time aside for myself. It keeps my pain at lower amounts and keeps my brain fresh and ready for other challenges in life. It’s not easy to take the time for myself everyday. But, my time at TFL has been a life lesson that this is important. I find myself trying classes in other cities when I travel- something I never would have done a year ago!

About Dillon Kreider
Certified personal trainer and owner of SOMA TRAINING. I can’t imagine a better job – every day, I get to help people improve their lives and achieve things they never thought possible. To see the gains in strength (I just watched a woman who used to struggle with knee push-ups rip off 20 standard push-ups) and confidence that come with fitness is truly inspiring.
