After having two children in my late 30’s I can no longer use the excuse that I am still trying to lose the weight from my pregnancies. (I am turning 60 next month!) My friend and I have been exercising off and on for many years, and we were pretty dedicated to Pilates for the last 5 years. As much as we enjoyed Pilates we both felt we needed that extra boost you get from a really intense workout. It is very hard to lose the weight after menopause but this class gave us the kick start we needed. In addition, I have lost fat, gained muscle mass and improved my bone density, which is essential for overall health at this age. It is hard work, but so is aging if you do not take care of yourself!
