Q/A with John
What are 3 or 4 of your favorite things to do?
I enjoy the outdoors, especially exploring the islands and trails around our cabin in Skagit Valley. I also enjoy traveling all over this planet with my wife, Briel, and playing sous chef for her in the kitchen. Art, music, and books round out the list.
My favorite place to eat:
There are too many to mention, but I do love a great breakfast, so I’ll put in a plug for a favorite of ours: Four Spoons Cafe on NW 85th. Their English breakfast is spot on.
Do you remember when you started our classes and why?
I began attending TFL about a year and a half ago at Briel’s suggestion. She’s been a member for many years. I had been doing CrossFit and wanted to get out before I joined the list of the seriously injured. TFL was the perfect next phase for my fitness.
What are some health and fitness goals you have achieved since being here?
I’ve actually increased my regimen since joining TFL. It’s now common for me to workout 4-5 times per week. Working out with Briel has been great for us, too, and a fun way to start each day.
What is a quote that you live by?
